Teaching Ustrasana – Camel Pose

I have to teach my fellow student teachers Ustrasana at our next meeting.  This is a challenging pose and I’m trying hard to construct my lesson plan so that they are not all inhabiting the osteopath’s waiting room on the following Monday morning.  I have chosen the theme ‘Lift Up Your Hearts – All Will Come Right’ – it’s from a speech given by Winston Churchill in 1941.  This little phrase encapsulates not only the focus of Ustrasana – but shows us how our body posture can indeed change the way we feel.  I’ll post my lesson plan as it develops.  In the meantime, Lift Up Your Hearts and have a lovely peaceful day.
