I have been practising yoga for over 30 years and have attended many different schools of yoga, run by many gifted teachers. Because of that, the yoga I teach is a mixture of styles. I teach the yoga I enjoy and that I have found to be beneficial. I belong to the British Wheel of Yoga, and I am a qualified BWY teacher. Currently I am the County Rep. for the BWY for Mid-West Glamorgan.
My classes consist of gentle limbering exercises, breathing techniques and work on yoga postures. Every class ends with a period of guided relaxation. The classes are designed for men and women of all ages and hopefully provide an introduction to the benefits that yoga can offer. The classes are also friendly – laughter is an excellent form of yoga therapy.
More recently I have begun to broaden my training under the guidance of the Special Yoga Foundation. Special Yoga exists to bring the benefits of yoga to adults and children with special needs, and to enable yoga teachers to become Special Yoga practitioners through a variety of teacher training courses.
